Georgia didn't have star running back Todd Gurley (suspended for a violation of NCAA rules), but it didn't matter today - the Bulldogs dominated Mizzou on both sides of the ball en route to a 34-0 win.
Turning Point: This one was over midway through the second quarter, after Georgia QB Hutson Mason rushed for a touchdown and passed for another in quick succession. The Bulldogs defense was able to completely shut down Mizzou's offense (and QB Maty Mauk), shutting down any hopes of a comeback before they could begin.
Key Stat: 0-7 - Mizzou's punchless offense failed to convert on third down all day long.
Game MVP: RB Nick Chubb had himself a game in place of the suspended Gurley (143 yards and a TD on 38 carries), but we have to give it to QB Hutson Mason. Mason was superb, going 22/28 for 156 yards and a TD while rushing for another.
First Mizzou Shutout Since: 2002
What’s Next? The Dawgs travel to Arkansas next weekend hoping to keep the momentum rolling, while Mizzou will try to get it together before traveling to Florida to take on Will Muschamp's Gators.
