Before a game between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Dallas Mavericks in April 2003, 13-year-old Natalie Gilbert froze singing the American national anthem, forgetting the words at "At the twilight's last gleaming".
Realizing the young teenager was panicking, Blazers head coach Maurice Cheeks rushed over and sang the rest of the song with her.
The entire Rose Garden Arena crowd then sang along with them, giving the duo a heart-warming standing ovation after the song was over.
