As the Chicago Bulls sink from playoff contention, they face the prospect of an unsure future. As one might expect, that future hinges on one player: Jimmy Butler.
The Bulls (33-38) are sputtering in their first season following the Derrick Rose/Joakim Noah era, and currently find themselves outside looking in for playoff contention. And, even if they sneak into the playoffs, they 25th in the NBA in points per game and 29th in three-point percentage, 20th in opponents’ field goal percentage and 20th in point differential, leaving almost zero chance of doing any kind of damage.
