Who is Tyler Johnson and why can he successfully fill in for Goran Dragic?
Now that the Miami Heat’s starting point guard Goran Dragic is expected to be sidelined for about a week with a mild left calf strain, the team must rely on a reserve player to step up in his absence. Dragic was averaging 12 points and 5 assists per game this season while helping the Heat reach a 22-17 record, but his injury leaves the team with two remaining point guards. The first alternative point guard is veteran Beno Udrih, who is in his 12th season and is now playing for his 7th different NBA team.
