Taunted Gasol comes up short again as Brazil beats Spain

Rio de Janeiro (AFP) - Marcus Marquinhos tipped in a miss by Marcelinho Huertas with five seconds remaining to give Brazil a stunning 66-65 victory over Spain on Tuesday at the Rio Olympics.

The Spaniards, runners-up to the United States at the past two Olympics, had a last chance but Sergio Llull missed at the final buzzer.

That sent the Group B preliminary round favorites to 0-2, having already lost 72-70 in their Rio opener.

"Until somebody says no, we have a chance to win the tournament," Spain's Jose Calderon said.
