New York (AFP) - British musician Sting, a 16-time Grammy Award winner, will headline the halftime show at next month's 65th NBA All-Star Game in Toronto, the league announced Thursday.

The former frontman for The Police will perform a compilation of his greatest hits such as "Every Breath You Take," "Roxanne" and "Fields Of Gold" at the February 14 showdown of elite Eastern Conference and Western Conference players.

Sting, 64, and compatriot Peter Gabriel, the 65-year-old former frontman for Genesis, will unite for a North American tour later this year.
