Shaquille O'Neal may have nearly a foot on Stephen Curry, but he doesn't necessarily have historical superiority according to the Warriors guard. After O'Neal said his early-2000s Lakers teams would "easily win" in a hypothetical matchup against the Warriors on Tuesday, Curry responded on Wednesday night by saying O'Neal is "dead wrong", according to ESPN's Nick Friedell.
"Oh, he's dead wrong," Curry said. "Of course. We'd beat them. We can go back-and-forth all day."
O'Neal cited the Lakers dominant 2001 postseason run, a 15–1 effort with the lone loss coming in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
