The Philadelphia 76ers are ruling out Joel Embiid for Monday night's game against the Denver Nuggets and fellow MVP candidate Nikola Jokic, sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Adrian Wojnarowski.
Embiid attempted to work out Monday morning, but the team is taking a precautionary approach given density of the recent schedule, sources said.
Monday's game in Denver is the Sixers' third game in four nights. Embiid played in both legs of the Sixers' back-to-back against the Warriors and Suns on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, James Harden participated in shootaround Monday morning and remains on track to return against the Nuggets, sources said.
