Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid completed new imaging on his injured left knee and has been ruled out for Monday night's game against the Chicago Bulls, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
The former MVP and the 76ers continue to consult with doctors and collaborate with specialists about the best way to move forward with the knee, with options that include surgery, sources said.
Embiid had been listed as questionable for Monday's game after experiencing swelling in his knee after Saturday's loss to the Nets. He was slow to get up late in the third quarter of that game when he lost the ball and hit the court.
