Will the recent (very successful) use of small ball lineups lead to a new era in the NBA?
While writing my series on 2016 NBA Draft prospects, I noticed that the potential best NBA value that many players will have — such as Ben Simmons and Nigel Hayes — will be as a small ball power forward. These are players who are slightly undersized for a traditional power forward and do not quite have the skill set to be an NBA wing, but whose athleticism and versatility on both sides of the ball make them attractive options in the modern NBA.
