Are all the potential consequences worth it for a medal and fame?
It is no secret that athletes, fans, and commentators are starting to worry about the upcoming Olympics in Rio. Brazil is currently in a state of turmoil, having just recently impeached their president because she allegedly hid evidence of deficits within the federal budget. The country also has a major issue with its polluted water, as members of the United States Junior National rowing team and competitive sailors have become very ill after practicing in it.
Last, but not least, the Zika Virus has run rampant throughout the country.
