LeBron James and some of his teammates have been excused from staying with the Cavaliers at the Trump SoHo hotel while the team visits New York this week, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reports.
The hotel, which Preisdent-elect Donald Trump helped oversee the building of, opened in 2010 and is branded with Trump’s name through a licensing agreement.
The Bucks, Grizzlies and Mavericks have already stopped staying at Trump’s hotels this season. Cavaliers guard recently said he wouldn’t visit a Trump White House if the team were to win another title during his time in office.
