Pelicans' Davis (knee) exits; X-rays negative

ATLANTA -- New Orleans forward Anthony Davis headed to the Pelicans' locker room with an injured right knee in the first quarter of Tuesday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks.

X-rays taken on the knee at Philips Arena were negative. Pelicans officials designated Davis' status as questionable to return.

Davis tumbled into the stands while diving for a loose ball midway through the first quarter. He checked out of the game with 2:44 remaining in the period and the Pelicans leading the Hawks 26-12.

Davis recently suffered a right thigh contusion on Nov.
