New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis will return from a two-game absence to play in Wednesday night's game against the Golden State Warriors, head coach Alvin Gentry said.
Davis was held out of the Pelicans' past two games because of a sprained right elbow.
Gentry said before Monday night's 116-111 loss to the Denver Nuggets that while Davis still experienced some pain, the injury wasn't considered "any big deal." Gentry added that it's early in the season and the team didn't want to take any chances.
Davis, 25, is averaging 27.
