New Faces in Beale St. Blue

Which new Memphis Grizzly will have the biggest impact this season?

The Memphis Grizzlies quietly had one of the better offseasons of any of the 30 NBA teams. Memphis surprised no one by re-signing its franchise cornerstone, Marc Gasol, to a max contract worth $110 million over five years. Then, in a masterful flipping of assets, Memphis acquired Luke Ridnour for basically nothing (no offense Jannis Timma) and immediately traded him for veteran swingman Matt Barnes. Once free agency began, the Grizzlies signed backup big man Brandan Wright to a three-year $18 million deal, replacing backup center Kosta Koufos, whom the team knew was going to walk.
