Los Angeles (AFP) - LeBron James said Tuesday he planned to scale back his social media activity slightly earlier than usual as he prepares for the Cleveland Cavaliers' post-season NBA campaign.

James set tongues wagging earlier this week when he unfollowed the Cavs official Twitter feed, with speculation the move was fueled by unhappinhess in Cleveland or frustration with the management.

However, James insisted Tuesday the move was motivated by a desire to start paying less attention to social media as the post-season looms.
