Dec 16 (The Sports Xchange) - Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who has missed his team's historic 24-1 start to the season while dealing with complications from back surgeries, plans to increase his workload beginning this week.
During the Warriors' five-game homestand that starts Wednesday night, Kerr will see if he can handle the rigors of an eventual return to the bench this season.

Cleveland point guard Kyrie Irving said he won't make his season debut Thursday night.
A team source told ESPN.com that Irving planned to play at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
