When the Memphis Grizzlies dealt Jeff Green to the Los Angeles Clippers at the trade deadline, Memphis was thought to have won the trade because it received a 2019 first round pick. Nobody thought Memphis could fetch a first for Green, yet it did.
Now the key piece of that trade may be what was originally thought to be a throwaway bit. Lance Stephenson has come through like a storm, helping lift a depleted Grizzlies’ roster during arguably the team’s most difficult stretch of the season.
Already he’s putting up better numbers across the board than Green.
