MINNEAPOLIS -- Disgruntled guard Jimmy Butler was booed when he was introduced and at times when he touched the ball in the Minnesota Timberwolves' home opener Friday night.
Despite the early jeers from the home crowd, Butler went on to post 33 points, seven rebounds and three assists to lead the Wolves to a 131-123 victory over the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers.
It was a generally unpleasant mood at Target Center as the crowd also heavily booed coach and team president Tom Thibodeau during introductions and Cavs forward Kevin Love, who requested a trade away from Minnesota four years ago.
