METAIRIE, La. -- How do you recover from allowing 143 points to the NBA’s worst team on your home floor? It starts with the push of a button, according to Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry.
“Take it and flush it down the toilet and move on to the next one,” he said the day after the Pelicans lost to the Brooklyn Nets 143-114 on Friday. “And you almost have to do that with that game.”
Gentry has used this method before, most notably at the end of his first campaign in New Orleans last season. In many ways, though, the Pelicans have been circling the drain ever since.
