As this largely underwhelming NBA season draws to a close culminating with Cavaliers-Warriors III, it is almost time to look forward to what should be another crazy offseason. The rumor mill will soon be buzzing with potential trades, free agent signings, and draft selections.
But this time, more so than in recent years, all eyes will be on two of the league’s most storied franchises: the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. While Boston and LA finished on complete opposite sides of the spectrum this season with Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals and the Lakers near the basement of the Western Conference, both are set up for future success with high draft picks and cap space.
