Charlotte Hornets assistant coach Patrick Ewing has interviewed for the head-coach opening with the Memphis Grizzlies, CBS Sports has reported, citing sources.
Ewing, the legendary Hall of Fame center, met with the Grizzlies on Thursday, according to CBS Sports, which reported the news via Twitter.
Ewing is also a candidate for the head-coaching vacancy with the Sacramento Kings and reportedly also interviewed with the Kings this week.
Ewing has been an assistant for four teams over the past 13 seasons and has spent the past three seasons as an associate head coach for Charlotte, which lost to the Miami Heat 106-73 on Sunday in Game 7 of their first-round playoff series.
