Evan Fournier took the ball from his teammate Jason Smith’s hands, running behind and around him, trying to shake a trailing Zach LaVine. Upon handing the ball off, Smith stepped into LaVine’s path, attempting to cut him off from chasing Fournier to the right sideline. However, in his haste to pop out for an open shot behind the arc, Smith didn’t set a sound enough screen, allowing LaVine to keep right on Fournier’s tail. Ricky Rubio, who had been guarding Smith, switched and stopped Fournier in his tracks. Off-balance, Fournier had to regain his dribble, penned in by Rubio, LaVine, and the sideline.
