The Philadelphia 76ers plan to hire Elton Brand as the general manager of their G League affiliate in Delaware, according to multiple reports.
Brand, a two-time All Star, retired last October. He played five of his 17 NBA seasons with the 76ers, including his final season in 2015-16 when he played in 17 games.
He was a consultant for the 76ers last season, focusing on player development.
The Vertical first reported the news of the 76ers' plans.
Brand averaged 15.9 points and 8.5 rebounds in 1,058 games with the Bulls, Clippers, Mavericks, Hawks and 76ers.
