The NBA season is a grueling marathon, filled with five-game road trips, back-to-backs, and four games in five nights. Yet, there is this continuing narrative that NBA superstars “turn it on” at the end of the season.
This ongoing thought process sparked an interesting question: do NBA stars really “turn it on” at the end of the season, or does the fatigue of an 82-game schedule cause these players to suffer a statistical decline?
To conduct this research, we looked at each player’s numbers before and after the All-Star Break and then found what percentage these athlete’s stats either improved or declined.
