The NBA has fined the Los Angeles Clippers $250,000 for their pitch to then-free-agent DeAndre Jordan.

While much was made of the Clippers' last-minute, second pitch to retain the talented center, the league said the team ran afoul of the NBA's anti-circumvention rules. The issue arose when, according to the league, the Clippers improperly included in their presentation "a potential third-party endorsement opportunity" for Jordan.
