Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas will miss the remainder of the playoffs due to a hip injury, the team announced Saturday.
In a statement, the Celtics said Thomas reaggravated a "right femoral-acetabular impingement with labral tear" during the team's Game 2 blowout loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night in Boston.
The Celtics say Thomas initially hurt the hip during a March 15 game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He missed the team's next two regular-season games.
Thomas then aggravated the injury during Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals last week against the Washington Wizards.
