Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard has agreed on a four-year, $30 million contract extension, his agents Austin Brown, Max Saidman and Mitch Nathan of CAA Sports told ESPN on Sunday.
The deal, which is fully guaranteed, comes with the expectation that Pritchard will have a more significant role off the Celtics' bench this season.
Pritchard's the seventh player in the NBA's 2020 draft class to agree on a rookie scale contract extension, including Minnesota's Anthony Edwards, Charlotte's LaMelo Ball, Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton, Detroit's Isaiah Stewart, Memphis' Desmond Bane and San Antonio's Devin Vassell.
