Celtics' Aron Baynes out indefinitely after breaking hand

BOSTON -- Boston Celtics center Aron Baynes is out indefinitely with a fractured fourth metacarpal in his left hand.

Baynes, who has been starting in place of injured star Al Horford, left Wednesday night's game against the Phoenix Suns just over two minutes into the first quarter after a dunk.

He was almost immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game with a left hand injury, and the team announced the specifics of his injury before halftime.

The loss of Baynes further reduces Boston's depth in the middle, where the Celtics have already been dealing with Horford missing the past five games with patellar tendinitis in his left knee.
