Can Trump make good on his pledge to prosecute leaks?

President Donald Trump vowed today to crack down on “low-life leakers” who set in motion the events that led to his firing his national security adviser, Gen. Mike Flynn. The leakers – also known to journalists as “sources” – disclosed that Flynn had spoken during the transition to the Russian ambassador about easing sanctions that had been imposed by President Obama.

“I’ve actually called the Justice Department to look into the leaks,” Trump said in a lengthy press conference Thursday afternoon, much of it consumed with complaints about the coverage he has received in the media. “Those are criminal leaks.
