New York (AFP) - NBA talent will take part in this year's Basketball Without Borders Europe camp from September 7-10 in Helsinki, the first time the program has been staged in Finland, the league said Thursday.
The global basketball outreach and community development program jointly run with governing body FIBA will be staged at Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, bringing together top male players born in 1999 from across Europe to learn from NBA players, former players and coaches.
"Bringing Basketball Without Borders to Finland for the first time marks the next step in our efforts to grow basketball across Europe," said Benjamin Morel, an NBA vice president.
