SEOUL, May 26 (Reuters) - Police in South Korea are investigating a coach over allegations of possible match-fixing in the country's basketball league (KBL), the Yonhap news agency reported.
Police in Seoul said Chun Chang-jin, the current coach of Anyang KGC, allegedly bet against his previous team, Busan KT Sonicboom, when he was coaching them in February and March.
Police also detained two men, who they said were acquaintances of Chun, and had placed illegal bets on the games. Both men said Chun was not involved, Yonhap reported.
A law firm representing Chun said he loaned one of the men some money but was unaware he planned to use it for illegal gambling.
