Anthony Bennett, The Misunderstood Bust

A look into Anthony Bennett’s career and dissecting the rhetoric around him

Life comes at you fast.

Just over two years after being taken by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, Anthony Bennett has sadly joined the ranks of the unemployed after reaching a buy-out agreement with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Bennett was set to earn $5,803,560 in the 2015/16 season, the third year of his rookie contract, but took a lump sum payment of $3.6m from the Wolves in order to enter free agency.

Bennett never asked to be the first pick in the draft.
