Throughout the month of August, my colleagues Ben Golliver and Rob Mahoney spent many hours on the phone. They poured over Basketball Reference. They exchanged spreadsheets with co-workers and sought our feedback. They tried to incorporate advanced stats, the eye test, and projections for the year to come. They were probably the only two visitors to Synergy Sports in the entire month of August. This is how they sort through every player in the NBA and attempt to rank them.
