NBA Free Agency is nearly here, so it’s time for an updated look at the salary cap space for every NBA team. These numbers are subject to change, but most of them focus on the practical cap space, i.e. the current roster and draft picks, but removing cap holds for pending free agents.
Several teams have room for a max contract (or two). Those teams are the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings. Other teams, like the Toronto Raptors, Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets and Milwaukee Bucks can go over the cap to re-sign their own players.

That means there are more max contract spots available than there are players. So who will get players like Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler and Kemba Walker in free agency?

Brooklyn Nets: $67.9 MM
Charlotte Hornets: $7.8 MM
Chicago Bulls: $21.6 MM
Cleveland Cavaliers: -$24.6 MM
Dallas Mavericks: $37.5 MM
Denver Nuggets: -$12.1 MM
Detroit Pistons: -$15.0 MM
Golden State Warriors: -$15.4 MM
Houston Rockets: -$17.1 MM
Indiana Pacers: $33.2 MM
Los Angeles Clippers: $56.4 MM
Los Angeles Lakers: $23.7 MM
Memphis Grizzlies: $10.3 MM
Miami Heat: -$35.1 MM
Milwaukee Bucks: $17.2 MM
