The Detroit Pistons and New Orleans Pelicans have had trade talks centered on PG Reggie Jackson. In what might be a surprise, the potential trade wouldn't give the Pistons much in return.

That's a small return for Jackson, who was the point guard of the future and present not long ago for the Pistons. That's why he signed a five-year, $80 million deal in the summer of 2015. But he's since fallen and that's evident by how little the Pistons could get back. Detroit shopped him at the trade deadline, hoping to get a pick and a young player back. Their asking price has apparently dropped.
Jackson averaged 17.6 points and 9.2 assists per game after the Pistons traded for him before the 2015 NBA Trade Deadline. But those numbers fell to 14.5 and 5.2 as Jackson struggled.
E'Twaun Moore has a career average of 6.5 points per game, although he did average 9.6 last year. He signed a four-year, $34 million deal last year with the Pelicans. He was coming off a year in which he hit 45.2 percent of his 3-pointers, but his figure regressed to 37 percent this year, more in line with his career averages.
Ajinca averaged just 5.3 last year, the same as his career numbers. He has two years left on a deal that pays him about $5 million per year.
