The 2019-20 NBA season tips off in a little over two months and the league has announced its Christmas Day games. The highly anticipated matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers will be the headliner as LeBron James and Anthony Davis will take on Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Another tense western conference matchup will take place as the duo of Russell Westbrook and James Harden and the Houston Rockets will take on the Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. NBA Now host Jimmy Crowther breaks down all five 2019 Christmas Day games.
The Toronto Raptors may not have Kawhi Leonard, but they still are the reigning NBA champions. The NBA recognized that and gave them a Christmas Day game against the Boston Celtics. The Celtics led by new point guard Kemba Walker will head into Toronto to try and take down the champs led by Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam. The projected top two teams in the Eastern Conference will face off as reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks will head to Philadelphia to take on Joel Embiid and the 76ers. Two of the young and exciting teams in the NBA are the Denver Nuggets and the New Orleans Pelicans. Zion Williamson will be on center stage as he’ll lead the Pelicans into Denver on Christmas Day. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray are looking to build off a great 2018-19 season and will get to prove themselves on Christmas.
