LaVar Ball went on FS1's "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" on Wednesday to talk about his son, Lonzo, following Tuesday night's draft lottery.
Lonzo Ball is projected to be the No. 2 overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers, and LaVar proudly stated the Lakers will be the only team Lonzo works out for in the pre-draft process.
However, the biggest news of his appearance regarded a threat he made to Kristine Leahy, Cowherd's co-host. Leahy has been critical of Ball's Big Baller Brand in the past, and LaVar made sure he addressed that when Leahy tried to ask him a question.
LaVar Ball first took a shot at fellow Fox Sports analyst Jason Whitlock - who has also been critical of Big Baller Brand - saying that Whitlock shouldn't "comment on anything but snacks," referring to Whitlock's weight. Leahy tried to follow up on that comment, leading to the following exchange:
Ball: "I'm not talking to you, you're a hater."
Leahy: "So you disrespect women and people for their weight?"
Ball: "I never disrespect women, but if you act like that (referring to Leahy's criticism of Big Baller Brand), guess what, something's coming to you."
Leahy: "Wait, are you threatening me?"
Ball: "Oh, see how she is trying to turn the words? I would never threaten you."
Leahy: "You said something's coming to me."
Ball: "I don't know what it is, I'm not a psychic."
Leahy: "Oh."
After the segment, Cowherd defended Leahy.
"First of all, I don't patronize women," he said. "Kristine was in control, fired back at him, was not intimidated by him, that's why I hired Kristine, because she is tough and emotional and vulnerable and had been burned, and is emotional and strong and I don't hire weak people."
Leahy called Ball "disrespectful," and added that she was glad Cowherd didn't kick Ball off the stage.
