Quarterback Will Worth scored the go-ahead touchdown with just under three minutes remaining as Navy overcame a tough Tulane defense and its own costly mistakes to pull out a gritty 21-14 victory in front of 21,503 fans at Yulman Stadium on Saturday night.
Worth directed a clutch 10-play, 72-yard touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter as the visiting Midshipmen rallied from a 14-13 deficit. Worth scored the game-winner on a 1-yard run then tossed a two-point conversion pass to account for the winning margin.
Tulane got the ball back with enough time to mount a tying touchdown drive, but failed to pick up a first down.
