It sure didn’t seem like it was late in the college lacrosse season on Saturday evening in Annapolis. Temperatures dipped into the low 40s while there were steady snow flurries at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
Despite the unseasonable weather, this is indeed the stretch run for Navy lacrosse, which has just two regular season games remaining.
Senior midfielder Ryan Wade posted six points as Navy moved closer to clinching an opening round bye in the Patriot League Tournament by beating Colgate, 12-10. Junior midfielder Greyson Torain had a goal and two assists for the Midshipmen, who improved to 7-4 overall and 6-1 in the Patriot League.
