I woke up this morning and watched a taped replay of Saturday night’s Stadium Series game between the Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs.
It was just as fantastic on television as it was in-person. In fact, there were a few interesting things that I picked up from the NBC broadcast that I had not noticed from my vantage point in the press box, such as the red bell buoy that made it appear the model aircraft carrier that contained the ice rink was cruising through a channel.
All credit to National Hockey League officials for planning and executing an event that was pretty much flawless on all levels.
