Spindler Krause doesn't mind the three-hour drive from Seaford, Virginia, to Annapolis.
Though his son graduated from the Naval Academy in 1995, Krause has spent the last eight years volunteering with tailgates held by the USNA Parents Club of Maryland.
And on Saturday, the first game of the 2015 season at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, he was at it again.
"I picked the same job I have at church — taking the garbage out. I look after the drinks too," he said.
"We have six tailgates this year and I'll be up here for all of them.
