Navy was on a real roll when it met Southern Methodist University last year. The Midshipmen were in the midst of a four-game winning streak that solidified a winning season and secured a berth in the American Athletic Conference championship game.
Navy came to Dallas loaded with confidence and departed riding even higher after routing SMU, 75-31. Quarterback Will Worth directed an offense that rolled up 600 yards of total offense on the Mustangs as the Midshipmen clinched the West Division title.
That contest capped an impressive stretch of seven straight games that saw the Mids average 49 points and 513 yards while going 6-1.
