Patrick Spencer needs six points to become the all-time leading scorer in Loyola-Maryland men’s lacrosse history. If the Davidsonville resident torches Navy the way he did last season, that record will fall on Saturday.
Spencer’s pursuit of another major milestone will be in the spotlight when eighth-ranked Loyola (4-2, 1-0) welcomes Navy (4-2, 2-0) to Ridley Athletic Complex for an important Patriot League matchup.
Spencer enters with 306 career points and could easily surpass Gary Hanley (311, 1978-1981) with one of his typically spectacular performances. A year ago, Spencer set a single-game school record by piling up 12 points on four goals and eight assists to lead Loyola to a 15-9 victory over Navy.
