Last week, running game coordinator Ashley Ingram called his offensive line a “work in progress.” After all, against Memphis, the team had only gathered 316 yards by game’s end, and quarterback Malcolm Perry’s supporting cast was an undeniable piece of that low impact.
But even after Navy’s offensive explosion on Saturday, which led to a 51-21 blowout over Lehigh, the Mids still felt the way they had seven days ago — there was more work to do.
“Okay. I thought we played okay,” said Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo.
The Mids amassed 629 total yards, which placed Saturday’s game 10th all-time in program history.
