Former Navy standout Keenan Reynolds is back in the National Football League after being signed to the practice squad of the Washington Redskins on Wednesday afternoon.
Reynolds worked out for the Redskins on Wednesday morning then passed a physical in the early afternoon before signing a contract. In a corresponding move, Washington released wide receiver Shakeir Ryan.
Washington head coach Jay Gruden told members of the media the team wanted to get a look at Reynolds for possible future help in the return game.
Reynolds has been out of professional football since being cut by the Baltimore Ravens on Sept.
