Naval Academy athletic director Chet Gladchuk confirmed on Wednesday the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees have both submitted formal bids to host the Army-Navy football game.
Gladchuk said the two Major League Baseball organizations responded to the Request for Proposal that was jointly issued by Army West Point and the Naval Academy. Those bids call for the fabled rivalry to be played at Fenway Park in Boston and Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
Those are among several bids that have been submitted and Gladchuk said it's far too early to speculate on which cities and facilities will ultimately be chosen.
