Dalen Morris expressed disappointment Monday about not being able to play against service academy rival Air Force.
Navy’s starting quarterback did not make the trip to Colorado Springs due to an undisclosed medical condition. Morris did not travel to Air Force in 2018 as well even though he was the backup to Malcolm Perry at the time.
Due to privacy concerns, Navy athletics did not specify the reason Morris remained in Annapolis other than to emphasize it was not related to COVID-19. The Capital has learned the Alabama native has a lifelong medical condition that can potentially be exacerbated by high altitude.
