Offensive coordinator Ivin Jasper will get a feel for how far Malcolm Perry has come as a quarterback as soon as Navy takes the field for its initial offensive possession on Saturday night.
Perry will stride up to the line of scrimmage, survey the Hawaii defense then crouch down under center. As Perry is barking out signals and watching carefully for any last-second defensive shifts, he must recognize what he’s seeing and get Navy into the right play.
“Malcolm is ready to play. I think the biggest thing for him is getting out there on the field and seeing what defense they’re playing,” Jasper said.
