Demond Brown was a traditional tailback in a power I-formation during his days at Old Mill High. Running behind a fullback, all Brown had to worry about was finding and hitting the hole, which he did quite well in amassing rushing yards as a senior.
Coming into Navy's triple-option offense, Brown was forced to learn a completely different position. The Glen Burnie resident and Annapolis native was converted to slotback, a multi-faceted role that requires dynamic players that can run, catch and block with proficiency.
